Adam Thomas

Adam was born the youngest of 3 in upstate Oswego, NY. His family moved to FL when he was less than 1 year old. He was enrolled in Leesburg and took all of his schoolings locally in Lake County, taking various jobs after graduation, landing in the up-and-coming printer business, Business Techs, Inc where he is well-respected and moving up in the ranks. Due to the invitation of a friend, he started attending the church volleyball night of Adventure Christian Church, where he met Amelia Thomas, and they began dating for two years, then were engaged for one year. By that time, Amelia was working for the church in the daily childcare ministry, and soon was working for the office of the church, as well. Adam began attending worship and built a relationship with Doug Dykstra, the preaching minister, and was baptized by Doug 8-28-13. He moved from that church to the new work, Welcome Home Christian Church in 2017. Over the last 5 years Adam & Amelia married and now have 3 “stairstep” boys, Aiden age 4, Asher now 2, and Alex, a preemie, just now over 1 year old. Amelia is our part-time church office secretary, and she runs the children’s ministry as well. Adam is servant-hearted. He has served extensively with communion preparation, workdays, mowing and grounds keeping, and our community outreach such as annual Egg Hunts, Fall Festivals, Bonfires, and so on. He soon became an “elder in training” and after 3 years was ordained to Christian ministry as a full elder of the church.
