Acts Part 14
(Acts Chapter 18, 1 Corinthians 2:3, Matthew 3:11, Romans 6:3-4, Acts 19:1-22)
Acts 18:4 Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.
It is important to understand Paul’s frame of mind as he begins his time in Corinth. Although it doesn’t mention it here, Paul was deeply T______________ and becoming very D________________ in his ministry.
If you get beaten and driven out of town enough times, even the S_____________ heart is going to start Q____________________ if this is really worth the cost.
Whenever we start to get discouraged, we need to remember that God has not F_____________________ us.
God’s encouragement must be powerful indeed as next we see a R__________________________ Paul who seems to be back to his old self and raring to go.
Notice that Paul does not spend all his time trying to win new converts. He spends at least as much time and effort in D_______________ believers as he does in C__________________ unbelievers.
Paul spends a greater period of time in the major trade and cultural centers knowing that if he can establish strong churches in those places, the gospel will then R_______________ out to the surrounding areas.
Take Away Lesson: When we face challenges in life, nothing will sustain us through troubled times like the realization that Almighty God is with us and will give us the strength and courage we need if we will trust in Him.
Acts 19:21 After all this had happened, Paul decided to go to Jerusalem, passing through Macedonia and Achaia. “After I have been there,” he said, “I must visit Rome also.”
