Revelation Part 5

(Revelation chapters 6&7, Zechariah 1:7-11, Matthew 18:22)

Revelation 6:1 I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!”

The first horseman rides a white horse and its rider is C________________.

The second horseman rides a red horse and its rider is W_______________.

The third horseman rides a black horse and its rider is F________________.

The fourth horseman rides a pale horse and its rider is D________________.

Everything that has happened up to now shows three inescapable truths about sin.

1. Sin brings about horrible C_____________________________.

Just look at what has happened so far.  And this is nothing compared to what is still to come.

2. Sin triggers an impulse to H_______________ ourselves.

The first thing Adam and Eve did after their first sin was hide.  It didn’t work for them, and it won’t work for us.

3. Sin H__________________ our hearts.

Sin can so harden the human heart that we would be willing to face the most terrible consequences rather than to repent and submit to God.

Take Away Lesson: We cannot take God’s view of our sin lightly.  God’s wrath is every bit as powerful as his mercy.  Knowing God’s response to those who continue to deny and reject him should motivate us all the more to repent and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.
